Action for Global Health in the UK, together with the Stop AIDS Campaign, has released a report on the impact of International Monetary Fund (IMF) policies on the human resources for health crisis in developing countries. It examines evidence from nine IMF country programmes, chosen based on their HIV prevalence rates, and finds that although the IMF has changed its tune and is talking about greater flexibility, these changes are not enough and are only temporary.
The EU Roadmap outlines what the EU and its Institutions have committed themselves to do in order to support full funding, strong systems and fair access, including specific commitments on MDG 4, MDG 5 and MDG 6. Under each section, AfGH recommends the three EU institutions and the Member States to take a specific action.
